In search of something in Upstate NY (16 images)

In the final months of 2009 I spent two months working on an independent documentary project about aging in America in Cooperstown, NY. Though I spent most of my time with the family I was documenting - the Joneses - I took advantage of my free time to aimlessly drive around Upstate NY in the car my brother lent me (thanks Fe). My camera was my ever-present companion, sitting obediently in the passenger seat next to me. I rarely had a destination in mind but I knew I was searching for something.
